SC Freiburg to Stream Winter Test Matches

As SC Freiburg made their final preparations to escape the snowy chill of the Black Forest for the lush Andalusian climes of Sotogrande, they offered a bit of a winter

warmer to their fans who will not follow their beloved football club to southern Spain, announcing that all four test matches planned for the winter training camp will be streamed live on the SC Freiburg home page.

Christian Streich’s crew will split four test matches between two days, in an effort to maximize their time in Sotogrande.

“Time is tight and we want to quickly get into playing rhythm,” says co-trainer Lars Voßler. “Every individual player has the chance to make the team selection for the Bayern match as difficult as possible for the trainer team.”

Though familiar crews from Borussia Dortmund, 1. FSV Mainz 05, FC Augsburg, Borussia Mönchengladbach, and Werder Bremen will all be training nearby at the Marbella Football Center, SC Freiburg have opted to use the opportunity to test themselves instead against peers from Liechtenstein, Belgium, Czech Republic, and the Netherlands.

Thursday, January 12
