Germany Must Win the World Cup or Else…

As part of their 2014 World Cup coverage, KICKTV presents the “The Ultimate Group G Preview – The Group of Death,” a 15-part video series in which former U.S. International and 2006 World Cup veteran Jimmy Conrad travels to all the nations in Group G for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil: Germany, Portugal, the United States and Ghana.

In each country, KICKTV and Conrad explore the beautiful game at every level to learn what makes the game unique in that country and how the people feel about this summer’s World Cup.

During his travels, Conrad interviews some of the world’s top players, coaches and club officials, including: Arjen Robben, Jermone Boateng, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Matthias Sammer, Paulo Bento, Michael Bradley, Jermain Defoe, Joe Roth, Merritt Paulson and more. He also visits some of the world’s most successful clubs: FC Bayern Munich, Sporting Club de Portugal, Seattle Sounders and Portland Timbers.

The series begins with four episodes from Germany, where Conrad talks to players, coaches and fans about why the 3-time World Cup champions are ready to win their first world title since 1990. Conrad also visits German juggernaut FC Bayern Munich, whose players make up the core of the German National Team.

FC Bayern Munich CEO and former German World Cup veteran, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, told Conrad he liked the U.S. National team’s chances of advancing at the World Cup in Brazil.

“I believe the two teams I’m seeing as favorites to qualify for the next round, Germany and maybe you are a bit surprised, the States,” said Rummenigge. “I believe they have an interesting team and I know Jurgen Klinsmann, who is totally motivated.”
