Florida Cup 2015: Disney and the Bundesliga, a match made for photo ops

With the matches just two days away, the Florida Cup leveraged some help from Orlando’s most-famous resident, using a bit of Mickey Mouse magic to help spread the word about the football tournament taking place in Disney’s hometown this week.

Captains Miso Brecko (1. FC Köln) and Simon Rolfes (Bayer Leverkusen) were the Bundesliga guests of honor at a photo opportunity with Mickey Mouse himself. Paulo Guerrero (Corinthians) and Dario Conca (Fluminense) were representatives of the two Brazilian sides.

After making nice for the cameras, the four players were driven through downtown Disney in Chevy Camaros for a special parade to further celebrate the inaugural edition of what representatives are hoping will grow into an annual international club football event.

Strange bedfellows – Brecko and Rolfes will technically be on the same side, earning points collectively for Bundesliga glory.
