Bundesliga Betting Preview: 1.BL (MD8) 2.BL (MD10)

Another round of the Bundesliga is virtually upon us and we were left cheering a profitable week again in the top flight last week. 6 out of 9 selections obliged – giving readers over 14 pts cumulative profit so far. Things have been much more difficult in the 2nd flight, where we only delivered 3-9 and cumulatively we are around 8 pts behind, so much work to do here.

The 1BL is led by the main protagonists with Dortmund topping the division courtesy of their goal difference and having already scored 21 times this season – an average of 3 a game. Both Bayern and Leverkusen have won 6/7 games and are in ideal positions to capitalise on any slip-ups. Hertha have started strongly and Stuttgart have bounced back after a dreadful start, coach Thomas Schneider has elevated them to 6th. At the foot, Braunschweig are turning into the league’s whipping boys, only scoring 3 goals in 7 games, mustering a solitary point and 6 losses, things already seem to look bleak for Torsten Lieberknecht’s side.

Greuther Furth have regained their stranglehold on the 2BL after last week’s comprehensive 4-0 drubbing of Dresden, they have now scored 8 goals in their last two games, in their bid to bounce straight back to the top flight. Koln and Union are three points behind, with the former the only unbeaten side in the league this season. St.Pauli have put up an early strong showing in 4th and Bielefeld will be pleased with their start in 5th. Ingolstadt prop up the league and have seen manager Marco Kurz lose his position after only 3 months. Dresden will need to hugely improve if they are to reach the 2BL/3Liga play-off at best and are the only side without a win this season
