Bayern Munich v Arsenal In 12 Tweets

Bayern Munich’s 5-1 Champions League demolition of Arsenal was a masterclass from the Bavarians, even if it must be said that their Premier League opponents were dismal in the second half.  Here at the Fanatic we take an alternative look at last night’s action from the Allianz Arena in the form of some of the best tweets on Twitter …

Bayern could not have wished for a better start with winger Arjen Robben doing what Arjen Robben does best. Don’t show him onto his left, don’t show him onto his left …

Now, this moment wasn’t in the script. The dreaded away goal via the penalty spot.

Not sure what Bob Lewandowski was playing at. Not to worry, Lewa made up for his error by restoring Bayern’s lead.

Before producing a sublime piece of skill with a back-heeled pass to set up Thiago for number three!

And then it was four!!

It’s hard to argue with this autocomplete …

Do you fancy coming out from underneath those blankets and joining in the fun Herr Müller?

This kind of summed up the evening for Arsenal. Chasing shadows in the second 45 minutes. Boys versus men (or should that be machines?)

So another 5-1 mauling handed out to Arsenal and Bayern are getting back to their imperious best.

Who would want to be an Arsenal fan right now?

A certain Arsenal song could be heard ringing around the beer halls and Marienplatz on Wednesday afternoon: “We’ve got Özil, Mesut Özil, I just don’t think you understand.

“He’s Arsene Wenger’s man, he’s better than Zidane.

“We’ve got Mesut Özil”
