We went there: Düsseldorf jumps further away from relegation

Fortuna Düsseldorf put the pressure on VfB Stuttgart, getting aggressive on all sides of the ball and put three goals on the board and three points in the standings.

Stuttgart controlled the early tempo, but Düsseldorf found the back of the net in the 34th minute thanks to Kenan Karaman who headed in after a pinpoint cross from Dodi Lukebakio.. Oliver Fink put a gorgeous curler past Stuttgart keeper Ron-Robert Zieler in the early minutes of the second half and Benito Raman came off the bench to chip home a great ball from Kevin Stöger.

The win puts Düsseldorf in 12th place, and Stuttgart stays in the relegation zone. Stuttgart has now allowed a league-most 47 goals on the season.
