We went there: Leipzig takes 15 minutes to rip apart Düsseldorf

The Bulls made quick work of Fortuna Düsseldorf. After scoring three goals in just over 15 minutes, Leipzig laid off the gas but still took care of business with a resounding 4-0 victory.

It went downhill starting from the first Leipzig corner. Düsseldorf keeper Rensing couldn’t handle the floater which lead to all-out chaos in front of the net and Poulsen putting away his first goal. Konate slipped past the defense seven minutes later and tapped one in off the far post ad Poulsen struck gold again just past the quarter-hour mark. Despite all of the anti-Red Bull chants from the Düsseldorf fans, Laimer tapped another Leipzig goal home in the second half before the rain came back, dampening Düsseldorf’s spirits.  Also part of Leipzig’s big day was the successful debut of American midfielder Tyler Adams, who had a solid match in his first taste of Bundesliga play.
