Along with our friends at FC Bayern’s US office the Bundesliga Fanatic is happy to announce a contest with the winner receiving a new 2015/2016 adidas 3rd kit Douglas Costa Bayern jersey. This is a medium size jersey.
We are celebrating the club’s Audi 2016 Summer Tour, which includes matches in Chicago on July 27 against AC Milan, in Charlotte on July 30 against Inter Milan and in New York City on August 3 against Real Madrid.
Open to U.S. residents only, the jersey will be awarded by drawing among the entrants who correctly predicts the final score of the first leg of the Atletico Madrid-Bayern match played on Wednesday, April 27. The contest begins when this post is published and ends at 12:01am CDT the morning of the 27th.
To enter, send an email with your final score prediction along with your city/state to “firstname.lastname@example.org” with “bayern munich jersey” in the subject header. One entry per person please.
Bayern Munich are on the march to the treble in Pep Guardiola’s final season with the iconic club. They’ve already booked their place in the Pokal final with a 2-0 win over Werder Bremen Tuesday in the semis at the Allianz, and lead second-place Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga title race by seven points with only four matches remaining.
Bayern Munich opened an office in New York City in April, 2014 to better serve Bayern fans in the U.S. and North America while reaching out to new supporters. Colorado-born Rudolf Vidal, who played in the Bayern youth ranks, was appointed as Managing Director of this subsidiary. Since opening, Bayern has grown its profile in America while adding fan clubs throughout the U.S, Canada and Mexico. The innovative use of social media by the club, along with an increased understanding of the U.S. sporting culture has made Bayern’s NY venture an unqualified success. From the Bayern Munich USA page, one can find links to the club’s dedicated youtube channel, a plethora of apps, news and match reports not only of the Bundesliga club but on its women’s squad and basketball team. The site also provides a full-service shopping page and a page for young Bayern fans.
