VIDEO – All 15 Miroslav Klose World Cup Goals

Miroslav Klose made history in Germany’s second group stage game against Ghana.  He not only had the second-fastest goal by a German substitute in World Cup history, he also tied Ronaldo as the competition’s all-time goalscorer.

It all started with an inconspicuous yet effective performance against Saudi Arabia in Germany’s 2002 opener, scoring a hattrick of headers to record their biggest-ever tournament win. He followed that up with two more headers against Ireland and Cameroon.

As Germany hosted the 2006 World Cup, Klose had his finest hour at the highest stage. He started with a brace against Costa Rica and Ecuador in the group stage before getting a huge goal to tie Argentina in the quarterfinals. It was enough to get him the Golden Boot as the tournament’s top goalscorer.

Four years later in South Africa Klose didn’t let his age slow him down. He again started the tournament well with a goal in Germany’s opening 4-0 win against Australia. His best was yet to come, however. In the Round of 16 match against England Klose was fantastic and scored off a goalkick early in the game, the 50th of his national team career. Next came a brace in another fantastic performance, against Argentina in the quarterfinals this time, one of Germany’s best team performance in World Cup history as they ran out 4-0 winners against Maradona’s team.

Then the much-discussed record-equalling goal against Ghana. A “Klose” type goal if you will. A goal that shows his superior instincts in front of goal and his ability to change games.

Enjoy all 15 of Klose’s World Cup goals, spanning from his debut in 2002 to Brazil in 2014 at the age of 36.
