24 players have been nominated for Germany’s matches against Austria and the Faroe Islands.
Both Leverkusen’s Sidney Sam and Gladbach’s Max Kruse have been rewarded for their good start to the 2013/14 season with a place in Löw’s national team. Their prior good showing during the national team’s friendlies against the USA and Ecuador did also weigh into his thought process according to Löw.
”The two of them showed during our trip to the US that they were good alternatives for our attack.”
