It’s time for the final round of the Bundesliga Fanatic 2012 Euros contest, with Germany in the semifinals, meeting Italy on Thursday. We’ll end our Euro contest with three prize awards that celebrate the German NT and its undefeated run thus far in the tournament. The winner of our first contest was Rob from New Zealand, who won a German NT jersey from SoccerPro.com, and the winner of the second round contest was Ryan from Pennsylvania, who chose a Daniel Nyari-designed print of German NT goalkeeper Manuel Neuer. This week’s contest features three quality prizes for three separate winners — read below for details.
Rules & Guidelines
The rules are simple. Every contest we will ask you three questions. To be eligible for the contest, you must answer the three questions correctly and send them to email@example.com. Please mark your emails with the word “contest” in the subject line. Include your name and address in the email. One submission per email address please. Winners will be picked at random and email addresses submitted will not be shared, sold or in any way used except for purposes of reaching the contest winners to notify them of their prize. Email submissions for the contest will be accepted beginning immediately on Monday June 25 and will run through 11:59 pm EDT Sunday July 1.
Prize winners will be announced on twitter on Monday, July 2 and notified by their provided email.
Contest 3: Prizes
This contest round will have three prize winners. The first email drawn with the correct answers to all three questions will receive an Adidas German NT track jacket (pictured below) courtesy of SoccerPro.com, a perfect choice to represent Germany when it’s too cold to wear just a jersey.
The second winner with the correct email will receive a 3 dvd set of the German NT’s run to the 1996 Euro championship featuring Germany’s quarterfinal match against Croatia, their semifinal against England and their Euro final winner over the Czech Republic. All three matches are of ESPN broadcasts and were donated by friend of the Fanatic Dave Wasser of Austin, Texas, whose site is a wonderful place for fans to swap and buy videos of classic matches including World Cup games, Euro classics, matches from leagues and clubs around the world and even dvds of the wonderful “Soccer Made in Germany” series shown in the U.S. on PBS.
The third winner will receive an assortment of German NT gifts donated by Bundesliga Fanatic contributor and The Real Futbol publisher Jobst Elster that include a German NT flag, cap, and other German NT goodies.
Here are the questions:
1. What is Germany’s biggest win against Italy and in what year did it occur?
2. How many times have Germany managed to reach the semi finals at a major tournament including this year?
3. How many international caps did former Bayern Munich striker Luca Toni earn for Italy between 2004-2009?
Good luck and thank you for supporting the Bundesliga Fanatic !!!
