Bundesliga Transfer News

It wasn’t a big shock to Bundesliga followers to find out that Grafite, who helped power VfL Wolfsburg to the title a couple seasons back, is leaving the club.  The Brazilian, 32, has signed a two year contract with the Al Ahli club of Dubai.   Meanwhile, Gerald Asamoah returns to Schalke from his St. Pauli loan.  The former German international, 32, scored six goals for the Buccaneers but it is unknown if he will part of Ralf Rangnick’s plans for the new season.

Some of the most recent transfer news includes Schalke’s Lukas Schmitz heading to Werder Bremen; Hamburg’s Joris Mathijsen signing with Spanish side Malaga;  FC Koln’s Fabrice Ehret heading to France’s Evian side; and Copenhagen’s William Kvist Jorgenson will be wearing VfB Stuttgart kit this fall.  U.S. international Jonathan Spector, currently on Gold Cup duty, has been released by demoted West Ham United.  Earlier rumors indicated that Hannover 96 was intererested in the American defender/midfielder.
