Why did Micha come back? Are there any Kenyan players in the Bundesliga? Or are they just Hawaiian? Podcast #5

Gerry Wittmann welcomes Cris and Niklas to the podcast. The three of them take on all the action of Match day 30 as well as discuss the 2. Bundesliga. Patrick from the Mundilev blog, his blog about Leverkusen, makes his pod debut and he, Cris and Niklas take on this Sunday’s big match between Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen.

Segment 1: The battle against relegation saw some surprising results this weekend. Frankfurt are still in pretty bad shape, while St. Pauli and Wolfsburg fail to make headway with their draw. Ralf Rangnick’s magical smile has turned the luck around at Schalke, and Niklas and Cris have a slight disagreement.

Segment 2: Patrick, Cris and Niklas dissect the game, and we are told why Micha Ballack came “zurück”(back).

Segment 3: The boys take on the fight for promotion spots in the 2. Bundesliga, the battle against relegation, and Niklas briefly thinks that Hawaii is a part of Kenya.

  1. I agree. The five man midfield has been key for Leverkusen having the second best defense before going into the game against Bayern.

Patrick was great. His knowledge of Leverkusen is immense. We were lucky that he stayed up until late at night in Singapore to talk to the likes of us.

I can honestly say that all the guest we have had on our pods have added something brilliant to each episode.

  2. And Patrick is dead on in his assessment of Leverkusen–quality defense should be a priority this summer. Reinartz disappoints a bit with his lack of consistency.

  3. Also, want to register that a while back via twitter, I called for Wolfsburg to be in the relegation spot over Werder and was deemed crazy as Wolfsburg had so much more talent than Wolves.
